Pregnancy and Postpartum Support in Osteopathy and Physiotherapy
Even a minor loss of mobility in the pelvis, sacrum, lumbar spine, or ribs can make pushing and the baby’s passage during birth more difficult. Preventive osteopathy consultations help ensure the mobility of the skeletal structure, allowing the baby to be born with as few obstacles as possible.
To provide the best possible support after childbirth, we offer postnatal osteopathic treatment to address mobility restrictions in the skeletal structure or of visceral origin. We recommend scheduling a consultation within three weeks after delivery to optimize recovery and well-being.
Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation After Childbirth
Pelvic floor rehabilitation is recommended after every childbirth, as pregnancy has a significant impact on this muscle group. Carrying the baby, along with the amniotic fluid and placenta, puts strain on the pelvic floor throughout pregnancy. As a result, it may become weakened and require strengthening and recovery to restore function and stability.
Therapeutic Massage for Women (TFM)
This oil-based treatment was developed in the 19th century by Englishman Joseph B. Stephenson as a complementary gynecological therapy. The primary goal of this treatment is to restore hormonal balance. Various manual techniques are used to stimulate lymphatic flow, promoting detoxification and elimination. This therapy is particularly beneficial for:
• Menstrual cycle disorders and pain
• Myomas (fibroids)
• Menopausal symptoms
• Pregnancy support
